Tip 688: Coloring Calendars

An Outlook user asked: “How do you change the background color of the calendar in Outlook 2007? I would like to change the background from white to yellow.”

Tools, Options, Calendar Options has a setting for Calendar color – this applies to the calendar’s non-working hours. The working hours are always white (in later versions of Outlook). [In Outlook 2010, look in File, Options]

Appointments are colored with categories. If you have an All Day event with a color category and its marked as Busy, it will highlight the entire day in the category color.
