A frequent question: When I view the calendar in Week mode it displays the dates, but not the days of the week. Is there an option to show the day?

This is controlled by the long date format setting in Control panel, Regional and language options. The Formats tab will show your current settings. Click the Customize this format button then Date tab and select a new long date.

You can use one of the predefined formats or make one up using the formats listed in the notations. Note that changing the format here will affect all applications that use the long date format, so you may not want to get too creative.
