The only way to reply with a different address when you use Exchange is to create a POP3 or IMAP account (can use a fake server name, they will be set to never check for mail) and a working SMTP server - the account address will be the address you want to reply with. It's not pretty and it's not perfect, but its the only way to do it when you use Exchange.

Hi,

I have the opposite problem regarding meeting forwarding.
I am wondering if it is possible to eliminate the organizer notification. For me its a problem while forwarding all meeting requests from the corporate mail to the private one.

Thanks in advance

I can't get Outlook 2010 to show more than 1 appointment on the monthly view. All other appointments are shown on the daily view but only noted as an arrowhead on the monthly view. I've tried changed all sorts of settings including font sizes to no avail. Simply put, if I schedule an 8 AM and a 9 AM appointment (30 min each), the 8 AM apptmt appears on the monthly view; the 9 AM does not. Any suggestions to correct would be appreciated.

I installed Windows 7 in Oct of 2011 on a new system, and later MS Office 2010 in Dec 2011. I used Windows Live E-mail in the beginning with this new setup until I could get office installed. The only significant issue that I have had with Outlook at the time, was that I had far too many rules and pst files to start over, and I needed to access my e-mail without having to sort through 150 every day. That is too much time and a real waste.

I was finally able to export the rules from my dead mother board system and import them into Outlook 2010. I setup my outlook 2010 with rules and all seemed to work ok. Then the Outlook app began to be increasingly more difficult to keep running. It started to lock up, then restart, then close more frequently. Then as soon as I would review any e-mail it would do the same. It did give the warning message, but could only be ok'ed to continue. Now, it starts and immediately restarts or closes.

I am not the best fan of MS products due to so many new issues. If I could use Windows live and import the rules and use the pst files, I would do so.

Are there any supportive suggestions out there?

Thanks Ever So Much,

Live mail isn't our area of expertise, but i think you can close live mail, go to the live mail folders in windows explorer - here its at C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail - then select the stuck messages and press the delete key. You probably could delete the outbox folder and live mail should rebuild it - that is how it worked in Outlook Express.

Thanks Diane -

It was the auto-complete cache that was the problem; it had gone blank when I started to type a name.

I downloaded the tool you suggested, and now I can open up a file of everyone I have ever sent an email to, regardless of whether they have previously been saved in my contacts list.

Is there a way to get all of these unsaved names and email addresses to appear again in the 'to' line as you start to type? For instance, you type the letter 'j' and suggestions used to come up with everyone whose name begins with J? I had a look under 'export to outlook contacts' but that only puts the name into contacts, not into the 'to' line 'memory' facility. If not, I have all my email addresses back now, so that's the major part of the problem solved.

Thanks for your help.
