“I installed Outlook 2007 and when I go to send an email it automatically has the grid paper stationary which I DO NOT want to be on my emails. I can change it in each individual email but when I go to change the default option for every email in the "Options.." dialogue box, it tells me that themes are not installed, therefore not allowing me to choose a default stationary.”
The first time I saw this problem mentioned, I figured user error – granted, two users can screw up as easily as one, but stationery shouldn’t be applied by default when it’s not even supposed to be available with a standalone installation.
I don’t know where Outlook is getting the stationery from, but editing the following key should remove it.
Open registry editor and browse to this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Common\MailSettings
Delete the value (right side of the screen) that has the name of the stationery as data.
Open the registry by typing regedit in the Start search field (Vista) or the Start menu, Run command in Windows XP.
