In older versions of Outlook you could right click on the Start menu or desktop shortcut and choose Properties to open the Mail profile dialog. This doesn’t work with Vista and Windows 7 – the desktop and start menu shortcuts are just shortcuts and Properties opens the (file) Properties dialog to the Shortcut tab.
To change the account or profile properties, you need to go to the Control panel and open the Mail applet. (In 64 bit Windows, it’s called “Mail (32-bit)”).
In Vista or Windows 7, you can type Mail in the Start menu’s search field and it should (eventually) come up. If not, click on “Control panel” in the search results to restrict the search to the control panel.
If you use a grouped view in the Control panel, Mail is found under the User Accounts group (or in the 32-bit group if your control panel has one.)
