Tip 1083: View Attachments is missing from the context menu

What happened to 'View Attachments' context menu item in Outlook 2010?

In older versions of Outlook, when you were viewing any folder, if a message had an attachment, you could right click on the email (without opening it) to bring up a context menu containing the option to View attachments.

The View Attachments command allowed you to view the filenames of any attachments on that email in a list, which was very useful if you were looking for a specific attachment among several messages.

The View Attachments command was removed from Outlook 2010 (and Outlook 2013). You can view a list of attachments using the File > Save All Attachments command but you can't open an attachment from the Save all dialog, only save them to your hard drive.

Tip: if you know the filename of an attachment, Instant Search should find it, using hasattachments:yes attachment:filename
