Tip 952: Missing Date Picker in Outlook's Print Options Dialog

The Print Options dialog in Outlook 2010 does not have date pickers available when selecting a range.

I recently was upgraded to Outlook 2010. When I wanted to print a calendar in Outlook, I clicked in the date box and a small calendar would pop up to select the dates from. This has disappeared in Outlook 2010, and now you must remember what dates you want to start and end (I usually print one month out in Calendar Details Style, say from one Wed to another Wed 4 weeks out). Do you know if there is a fix that Microsoft has created for this? I've not found anything on any searches I've done. I now have to keep a little calendar on my desk, so that I can remember which dates to start and end.

As you've noticed, the date picker is gone from the Print Range field, but not all is lost. You can use date shortcuts in the field. I haven't tested all of the shortcuts that work in other date fields, but week (or w for short) will work.

Type shortcodes in the Print Range fieldIf you know the start date, type it in then type 4w or 4 weeks in the end date field. (You can use short codes in the Start Date field too.)

I tested it using day or d, week or w, and month or mo. Other short codes may also work. If you try a shortcut that doesn't work, Outlook will let you know.

Unlike other natural language fields, the date won't change when you tab out of the field, so you should use preview to verify the dates are the dates you expected.
