Tip 1014: Facebook profile photo warning

How many of you are aware that when you change your Facebook profile photo to something goofy, funny, suitable for friends only, mildly offensive, or downright scary that anyone who uses Outlook and has a Facebook account configured in the social connector can see your profile photo when you send them an email message?

While it's generally not an issue when you are emailing friends, it can have an impact if you send business emails and have the business email address associated with your Facebook account. Even if you don't send emails, anyone can add your address to Contacts and see your profile picture.

The default security setting is a public profile photo and while you can set it to private, so only friends can see it, many people like seeing who they are corresponding with so my recommendation is to keep it public and use a nice photo.
