Tip 228: Problems Sending Email?

Do you have problems sending email? Did you recently install updates for Outlook, windows, or a firewall?  If so, you need to check that your firewall software is not preventing Outlook from connecting to the Internet. If you use Antivirus software to scan outgoing email, verify it's not blocked as well, or better yet, disable that feature as you really don't need it.
