Tip 233: Saving Advanced Finds

Advanced Find allows you to save the searches as Office Saved Searches (*.oss). Choose File, Save Search. Once saved to your hard drive, you can copy them to any folder within Outlook, or drop it on the Outlook bar for easy access. To run the search, just double click on it.

As an added bonus, if you customize the view in the results pane, saving the search also saves the view. If you replace the search criteria instead of clicking New Search, the view is retained for the next search. (To customize the view, right click on the row of field names and choose an option.)
