Tip 459: More Navigation Calendar Tricks

Following my tip on selecting weeks to create partial month calendar view, Bob asks "Is it worth mentioning to people, that you can also use this trick to generate day / 2 day / 3 day 4 day views etc, by selecting a group of dates in the same horizontal row of the navigation calendar with the mouse?"

Sure. Along with selecting consecutive days in the navigation calendar, you can hold Ctrl and select non-consecutive days. For example, if you need to see every Tuesday and Thursday for the next three weeks, just hold Ctrl as
you click the dates on the calendar.

To select consecutive dates across two weeks, without selecting full weeks, hold the Shift key.

Your selections will use the Day view (columns) since you are selecting a period that is not full week.
