Tip 668: Background images

An Outlook user asked how to add a background image to a new appointment. Outlook doesn’t have a command to do this directly, but it is possible using one of two methods.

1. Create a message with a background image, Select All and paste into the appointment body.

2. Use an HTML editor to create a page with a background image and use Insert HTML as text. This method works well if you need to use the same background on several appointments.

Note that the appointment body may not look as nice on the recipients end as it does in your copy  – it looks fine when the mail system is Exchange with Outlook 2007, but could be messed up in other versions or when using POP3/IMAP accounts.
