Tip 979: Send Meeting Responses to Another User

Would you like to have meeting responses sent to user who is not a Delegate?

In Outlook 2010 (and up), you can use the option to direct replies to additional addresses. This option is available for email in all versions of Outlook but beginning with Outlook 2010, it's available for meeting requests too.

When you direct replies to another user, both you and the other person will get a copy of the meeting response. Your response will update your copy of the meeting request (since you are the organizer), while their copy is for informational purposes only.

To have replies also go to another person, prepare your meeting request and before sending it, go to File, Properties in an unsent meeting request and select or enter the other person's address. You can use multiple addresses provided you separate them with a semi-colon.

Have replies sent to other email addresses

To use it with an email message, add the addresses to the Have replies sent to field on the Options dialog before sending the message. (This feature is useful if you are sending out a message on behalf of others and want everyone to see the responses as they arrive.)
