Tip 1109: Show the BCC field in Outlook

Outlook doesn't display the BCC in message forms by default, but you don't really need to see the BCC field to use it.

Simply click the To button (1 in the screenshot), then select a name from your address book and click the button next to the BCC field or type an address into the BCC field. When you click Ok and return to the message, the BCC field will display in the message form.

Select a contact and click the BCC button or type an address in the BCC field

If you want to display the Bcc box all the time, follow these steps:

  1. Open a new e-mail message, and then click Options tab.
  2. In the Show Fields area, click Bcc.

Bcc Meeting Requests

I am trying to send an Outlook meeting request with a large group of people bcc'd. There is no BCC option in the meeting request my version of Outlook.

Meeting requests don't have an address field labeled BCC, however, you can send invitations BCC if you put the recipient names in the Resources field. Make sure you enter a Location, otherwise the Resources field is copied to the Location.
