I'm starting to see more questions from people who are missing the social connector:
What happened to my People Pane? I no longer see FaceBook and LinkedIn photos and status updates in Outlook and can't find the People Pane.
The button to hide, minimize, or maximize the People Pane is on the right side of the View ribbon. If the People Pane button is not on the View ribbon, skip to the end and verify the Social Connector is enabled.
Expand the People Pane button. Is Normal or Minimized selected?
When Normal is selected, the People Pane will be open at the bottom of the message or contact. Minimized shows just the narrow bar containing the photos and people placeholders in the view. Off is… well Off is off.
If you don't see the People Pane button next to the Navigation pane, Reading pane, and To-do Bar buttons, you need to verify the Social Connector is enabled.
In Outlook 2010 or Outlook 2013, go to File, Options, Trust Center, Add-ins. Click the Go button at the bottom of the dialog. Is Microsoft Outlook Social Connector checked?
In Outlook 2007, go to Tools, Trust Center, Add-ins then click Go to check.
