Tip 593: Outlook 2007 Pre-SP2 Update

A pre-SP2 update for Outlook 2007, the February Cumulative Update (CU) contains a large set of the fixes that release as part of the 2007 Microsoft Office suite Service Pack 2 (SP2).

Read more about it at Outlook 2007 improvements in the February 2009 cumulative update

The update fixes many bugs, several of which I’ve mentioned in previous tips but the best fix  for many users will be that it eliminates the need for the workarounds mentioned at Control How Messages are Printed. Yes, you can now easily select a page range when printing.

If you want to install the update now, you can request the downloads from:
Description of the Outlook 2007 hotfix package (Outlook.msp): February 24, 2009 and Description of the Outlook 2007 hotfix package (Outlook-en-us.msp): February 24, 2009

These updates will be in the larger Office 2007 SP2 update which will be released in a few weeks.

Published February 25, 2009. Last updated on March 26, 2013.
