Problem: When you drag a message to a date in the navigation calendars in Microsoft Outlook 2010, the resulting meeting is only 1 minute long.
This is a bug. In all other versions of Outlook, dragging a message to the navigation calendars opens a 30 minute appointment. Dragging the message to the calendar folder also results in a 30 minute appointment, although the date defaults to "today".
Until this is fixed (I'm not expecting a fix at this point in time), users can use date shortcuts to enter the end time. Tab over to the field and either type the end time in 930 format or type 30m (only works with 59 minutes or less).
When you drag to the calendar button or folder, it will create a 30 minute appointment for today.
