A question came up after my last tip about flagging messages to remind you they were sent as a BCC.
Peter asked "Getting it to flag when you aren't in the To box is easy – that's a standard rule. How do you get it to flag when you are not in the CC field?"
Easy – create the rule with an exception. Apply a flag to all mail after arrival except if my name is in the To or CC field. Yes, it seems very backwards to do it this way, but hey, it works. :)
Note that you'll probably want to have this rule positioned after rules that move messages sent to mailing lists etc, where the list name is in the To field, not yours. And don't forget, add a stop processing action to rules if you only want the first available rule to apply to it.
