A common question we are asked is "What does the hammer and wrench in the rules wizard dialog mean?"
Each type of action used in rules uses an icon to identify the type action that is configured for the rule and the hammer and wrench icon are displayed for actions that don't have their own icon.
The actions are (in the order shown in the Rules Wizard):
Display the New Item Alert window
Play a sound | |
Move to a specific folder
Copy to a specific folder
Mark the importance (High (), Normal (no icon), or Low () icon)
Flag message for Follow Up
Delete the message (not the 'permanently delete' action)
All other actions (the hammer and wrench icon) |
Additional Outlook Icons are described on these pages:
Mail | Calendar & Tasks | Contacts & Journal
Rules & Alerts | Toolbars | More Icons
